The British Art Show in Manchester.
Above is one of my favourite exhibits from the British Art 6 at the Cornerhouse. The untitled piece by Tonicos Lemos Auad featured strange fluff creatures appearing from or possibly disappearing into a carpet.
Another interesting installation was “El mundo no escucha” by Phil Collins (no, not the one from Genesis) which was basically a video of residents of Bogotá (in Colombia) doing karoake songs by the Smiths.
Also at The Cornerhouse was Adam Chodzko’s M-path. To experience this installation, visitors were asked to swap their shoes with a donated pair for the duration of their visit to the gallery.
Click here to download the programme. The Manchester part of the Exhibition ended yesterday but it will be continuing in Nottingham and Bristol. The British Art Show 6 website can be found here.
