After winning the heart of the nation and quite possibly the entire world with her performance of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Connie Talbot, 6 years old, did it again.

I think Connie is amazing, all of my hairs stand up when she sings, she sang songs that i love and used to sing to when i was a child, she made me cry. She is gorgeous too I think if Simon Looks after her she will be a superstar. I’ll definitely be buying her album.

There’s nothing lost in Paul Potts winning. He is a great talent and I wish him all the success in the world. Yet, Connie is one in millions with an innate talent that sets her apart from the rest. She will have profound impact on world music
I’ve put some time into a website for the purpose of encouraging young singers. I NEVER imagined I’d be thinking about a 6 year old singer.
What sets Connie Talbot apart is her interpretations. Her version of over the raibow is hands down better than Judy Garland’s. She also knows how to layer emotions in a song to put a lump in your throat. Her technique issues are typical of her age. Luckily she’s had no “singin lessons”–to young for that.
Her parents have to decide how much rope she gets and the rest of us have to accept that without grumbling. I hope some money can be found for the dance, theater, piano, etc lessons I’m sure she’d love to take. Then give her a chance to develop into a fine adult artist rather than coming and going at a young age.
Fame and celebrity are not the same thing. A little fame will do her no harm if there isn’t much celebrity grandstanding. If she’s got an older brother to keep her in line that’ll help too.
Most young singers sound like somebody you’ve heard before. Connie sounds like nobody but Connie. She’s an original. What ever happens I hope nobody tampers with that.
I received the link to hear this special little girl sing and can honestly say, I love Connie Talbot’s voice and her singing performance, she is such a talented little girl , knows how to give her all in the two songs I keep replaying and the tears roll down my cheeks as I listen,, God Bless you Connie and I wish you great success.

Agrred: I tend to agree that the direction of the programme were controlled by performer placement, but the two obvious contenders for the 1st place were Paul and Connie. I personally would not like to have to pick between them, but I agree that a six year old should not get the kind of pressure that exists in this level of performance, therefore I can agree that Paul should have won…
BUT Simon if you are looking, I would love to see an album cut by Connie soon

I must say I agree with Paul. In fact before I saw this blog, I told my husband that Connie is the ONLY person I have ever seen in my 52 years sing Over the Rainbow better than Judy Garland. Until I saw Connie, I knew in my heart no one could ever be better than Judy Garland.Oh WOW! Connie Talburt, you have got it girl!
what fool,said she was better than Judy Garland,I’m sorry but that is rubbish-I have heard lots of children singing as I teach,and she is just average in my eyes,like hundreds of 6 year olds,don’t know what the fuss is about.

Just to let you all know that we are recording a new album with Connie, entitled ‘over the rainbow’ She sings like an angel with a full orchestra behind her…. and the result is quiet amazing.
Amongst the songs she chose were the obvious ones from the UK programme and also song’s like ‘Smile’ White Christmas’ and her total favourite ‘I will always love you’. The album is out in the UK on November the 23rd.

This liitle angel has an amazing voice and singing abiltiy for a six year old. She brings me to tears everytime I listen to her.
