I though Catherine Tate was quite good in the Christmas Special plus it might be good for the Doctor to have a new assistant who doesn’t immediately swoon over him.
Kylie is going to be in the show at Christmas. Perhaps, she could reprise her Green Fairy role from Moulin Rouge.
There’s also a rumour going round that Denis Hopper may appear as a baddie in next year’s series. If he’s anything like the Frank, the character Hopper played in Blue Velvet, a generation of kids will probably be left mentally scarred and permenantly hiding behind the sofa.

I don’t think Kylie would want to be the Doctor’s fulltime assistant anyway, seeing as she’s already got a pretty good day job, which is probably a good thing.
